Quite a long time ago I was in Boston for a product launch. I'm not sure exactly why, but I decided that I needed to up my daily dopamine to get through it, and one sure-fire way to do that was exercise. So despite some pretty bad Boston winter weather, every morning I went for a run.

It felt great. So ever since then, give or take some breaks due to injury, I have tried to move my body every day, and I mostly succeed. There is something about a daily cadence that becomes ingrained, it became a part of who I am. I find the key thing is to never skip more than two days.

I'm thinking now about what else I want to be doing daily. It's not easy to add new things, with family and work and everything else. But I think it would be nice to add something creative.

After all, as Annie Dillard wrote: How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.

Recommendations welcome.
